EVENT GUIDE

PREVENTION IS BEST

The Fundamental Law of Hungary regulates people's right to safety. This applies to all citizens - Hungarian and foreign - residing in Hungary, regardless of age, gender or religion.

When we have to guarantee the free entertainment of a large number of guests who wish to relax and enjoy lasting experiences, the concept and interpretation of security is broadened beyond general expectations, and complexity is rather important. The safe management of an event, as a complex task for planners, organisers and contractors, begins with the planning of the event and ends with the completion of the demolition work.

The success of this very long - weeks or even months - coordinated cooperation process can only be achieved by complying with and adhering to the requirements of legislation, standards and professional and safety standards, in addition to meeting the client's expectations. After all, we are responsible for the smooth running of the event and the safety of the artists, performers, athletes, visitors, participants and service staff.

Depending on where the event is to be held (in an open area or in a building, possibly in an event tent), in addition to determining the suitability of the venue, all the legal requirements and local regulations relating to the type of event shall be taken into account from a safety point of view.

As event organisers, it is our priority to know, comply with and enforce the regulations applicable to the planned event, regardless of its size or location. During the event, the fire protection and disaster prevention safety requirements laid down in the building's permit for use, operation, operation and premises shall be met.

For events organised in a building, we have to investigate:

EVENT GUIDE - for event organisers

THE KEY TO OUR SUCCESS IS THE SAFETY OF OUR GUESTS

Outdoor events include events with more than 1,000 people or more than 5,000 m2 at any single time, excluding events linked to the operating licence of the establishment. Key outdoor music and dance events include music and dance events held in an area outside the building that exceeds 10,000 people or 20,000 m2 at any one time and that are subject to the Government Decree on making the operation of music and dance events safer.

For outdoor events, the organiser of the event shall specify in writing the relevant fire safety regulations and safety measures, with the exception of music and dance events covered by the Government Decree on the safer operation of music and dance events and shall submit them to the competent fire safety authority of first instance for information ten days before the event is due to start. Guidance on the content of the documentation to be provided to the fire authority is given in the Technical Principles of Fire Protection. In the case of an outdoor event held several times a week, weekly or monthly at a given location, the fire safety regulations and safety measures need only be drawn up for the first event. Subsequently, only changes to the fire safety aspect need to be notified.

EXHIBITIONS

For occasional cultural and sport events in cultural, sporting and educational facilities and premises, which do not correspond to their original purpose, as well as for occasional cultural and sporting events held in noncultural and sport facilities and premises with a capacity of more than 500 persons, the fire safety regulations and safety measures shall be specified in writing by the event organiser and submitted to the fire safety authority for information 15 days before the event.

The safe organisation of events is everyone's common interest! It is very important that the organisation of events should not be left to the last minute, so that any technical issues can be discussed with the authority in time, and so that time does not limit the implementation of safe solutions!

CULTURAL EVENTS WITH MUSIC AND DANCE

For music and dance events under the Government Decree on making the operation of music and dance events safer, the licensing procedure under the Government Decree is required. Guidance on the content of the documentation to be submitted to the fire safety authority is provided in the Technical Principles of Fire Protection. It is recommended to take into account the above-mentioned content to make the events as safe as possible.

The Technical Principles of Fire Protection provides several sample documents for event organisers, including a sample notification form, a sample fire safety training protocol and a sample document for the conduct of occasional fire risk activities.

INFORMATION ON FIRE SAFETY RULES FOR EVENTS

The following information is intended to help event organisers to ensure the lawful and safe organisation of events, to prevent tragedies and to explain the relevant legal requirements.

It sets out the rules applicable to outdoor events, special outdoor music and dance events, events which may not be held for their original purpose in cultural, sports and educational facilities and premises, and occasional cultural and sports events held in noncultural and sports facilities and premises with a capacity of more than 500 people.
